Shannon Fehrholz selected as acting Regional Superintendent of Schools

Fehrholz currently serves as the Assistant Regional Superintendent and has been in that position for eleven years. Fehrholz will serve as acting Regional Superintendent until a new Regional Superintendent is appointed.

Chairman Andy Van Meter

"Shannon was Jeff Vose's strong recommendation to serve as interim Superintendent, and after talking with her, I can certainly see why. She knows the office thoroughly, and in our battle with COVID that is particularly important. My counterpart, County Chairman Bob Lott from Menard, concurs with me that we are glad to have someone with Shannon's experience and credibility ready to step in and keep the office operating."

"I would like to thank Chairman Van Meter for this opportunity and for trusting me to serve as the acting Regional Superintendent. I would also like to thank Jeff Vose for his service and dedication to the students, parents, educators, and constituents of Sangamon & Menard Counties. My top priority will be to continue the critical services our office provides to local school districts and educators while also ensuring that there is a smooth transition with Jeff's departure from the office."
